Earlier this month, our Board of Directors approved our operating budget for fiscal year 2026 which begins on July 1, 2025. At almost $31 million, it is the largest budget in our history and is a statement of our values which demonstrates our commitment to our patients, staff and our larger community.
We will be investing in our physical plant and patient services. We’ve budgeted significant resources to maintain our physical plant and to open 7 new exam rooms on our medical floor at our Brighton location. Several years ago, these exam rooms were framed out, doors were purchased, and air conditioning and plumbing were installed. Now we are in a position to finish the project which will enable us to hire more providers and expand access to care at an affordable price.
We are investing in our people. This will be visible in several ways but the single largest investment we are making is a modest pay increase for all employees (except our Senior Leadership Team which will not receive an increase). We will continue the employee emergency fund and will soon announce guidelines for our new employee education reimbursement fund.
We are also working hard to manage expenses and control costs wherever we can. We’ve made some slight changes to the employee benefits package while maintaining quality. We’ve identified open positions which can go unfilled and we’re encouraging staff to think of ways to do their jobs more efficiently while ensuring the high level of care our community deserves.
The FY26 budget calls for about 5,000 visits per month across all departments, medical, dental, vision and behavioral health. We’re forecasting our pharmacies to dispense 77,500 prescriptions in the coming year, a modest increase which is inline with the growing demand we’ve seen for this important service.
Support from our community partners, elected officials and generous donors help balance our budget and make our work possible. Thank you to everyone for your ongoing commitment to our work!
