Join Us for Breakfast on September 17

find charles river community health

We’re hosting a small breakfast for friends, new and old, from 7:30 – 9:00 am on Wednesday, September 17, at Garage B of The Speedway, next to our Brighton location. This event will be a great way to learn more about our work and the community we care for. We’ll have some dynamic speakers and you’ll have the chance to interact with Charles River staff and providers at the meeting. We’ll also share our plans for the future and how your involvement can help us move forward. Donations to our mission are welcome.

Please send Matt an email at [email protected] if you are able to join us.

Our special guest will be Luis Menéndez-Antuña, Associate Professor of New Testament at Boston University School of Theology. Professor Menéndez-Antuña will reflect on the current cultural climate. He will draw on his experience as a Latinx gay Catholic man with experience in activism and community organizing. He will also share his experience teaching biblical studies and how he sees their relevance for social justice.  You can learn more about Professor Menéndez-Antuña here.

Breakfast Speakers 3

Our long-time friend and key supporter, House Majority Leader Mike Moran (D-Brighton), will close our short speaking program. Mike will reflect on his connection to Charles River and the role of the state in safeguarding community health. You can learn more about Majority Leader Moran here.

We hope to see you on September 17!
