Elizabeth Browne, MBA was appointed Executive Director of Charles River Community Health in 2009, and as the organization has successfully grown and restructured became its Chief Executive Officer in 2019. Liz has been with CRCH since 2003 and served previously in senior leadership positions in operations, development, and strategic growth.
She has over 25 years of experience in health care technology, operations, managed care network development and technical assistance, and policy analysis and development. Liz is the Chair of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers Board of Directors, and also serves as Chair of the Community Care Alliance Board of Managers of Beth Israel Lahey Health, and as a Board Member of Community Care Cooperative, a Medicaid Accountable Care Organization comprised of Federally Qualified Health Centers.
She received the Executive Director of the Year award by the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers in 2018. Liz holds a Masters of Business Administration in Health Sector Management and Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, both from Boston University.
Kenya Allen, MHA –has over 15 years of healthcare operations and management experience in and around the Greater Boston area. Prior to joining CRCH, Kenya served as Sr. Regional Director of Operations at North East Behavioral Health and Regional Director of Operations for Sound Physicians.
Kenya has also worked in outpatient practice management roles at Brigham and Women’s, overseeing a program for teenage mothers within the OB/GYN department, and Tufts Medical Center. Kenya has great experience managing call centers, process improvement, and budget management that will help CRCH improve our care experience in alignment with our strategic plan.
Kenya also has personal experience with community health centers and is excited to work on-site with staff and patients in a community setting. Kenya earned an MBA in Healthcare Management from Cambridge College and a degree in Health Science from Lasell College in Newton, MA
Gerry Byrne (he/his) CMA, CPA, MBA joined Charles River Community Health as Chief Financial Officer in September, 2022. Gerry has over 20 years of nonprofit accounting experience, most recently as the finance and research administrator director of a large science department at Harvard University and as Controller at the Boston Public Health Commission.
Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Gerry immigrated to the United States after college and earned an MBA from Boston University and his CPA from Board of Public Accountancy MA. In addition, Gerry has lived in the Allston-Brighton and Cambridge community for more than 25 years.
Jesika Clergé, MS joined Charles River Community Health as Vice President, Human Resources in July, 2023. Jesika came to human resources from a non-traditional path. Her undergraduate degree is in Economics and she had plans to be an investment banker.
After graduation, Jesika followed that plan and began working for Deutsche Bank in London, and found she really enjoyed the financial analysis pieces of the role but wanted to work more with people. This led to finance-oriented roles at MIT and The Wellmet Project, a small behavioral health non-profit based in Cambridge.
While at Wellmet, an opportunity opened for Jesika to make a full transition to people management and leadership and she served as HR Director there for the last 11 years. Jesika earned a Master of Science in Management from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Mount Holyoke College.
