Dr. Drews graduated from New York University School of Medicine in 1988 and completed his internal medicine residency at Boston City Hospital in 1991. He has devoted his entire career to primary care of underserved patients at community health centers, first in Roxbury, and now in Waltham since 2014. In addition to providing excellent care to his patients he has spent much of his career teaching medical students, residents and nurse practitioners. He is the recipient of the Outstanding Massachusetts Health Center Physician Award from the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers in 2007. Dr. Drews is the Associate Medical Director of the Waltham site. Outside of work his other interests including fishing, travel and spending time with his wife and 2 children.
